Ascension Thursday (May 30)

The Ascension is a popular holy day of obligation, when the people, in their humility, pay homage to Jesus Christ, with the symbols of fertility in the first fruits, represented in the symbolic ear of corn that, throughout the year, was a sign of respect and faith, hanging on a wall of the house, until it was replaced the following year.
